DOSNY programs
Chamber Music
Chamber music at DOSNY includes community outreach and small ensembles formed by our members.
Music within reach
Chamber music in the community
DOSNY’s Chamber Music Outreach Program brings live performances to older adults in community and residential care settings who face mobility barriers, social isolation, or limited access to concert venues.
Small ensembles introduce the music and talk with listeners. Bringing performances to familiar settings helps more people take part in New York’s musical life.
Member chamber music
Beyond the Section
Beyond the Section began in summer 2026 so DOSNY members could keep playing together during the orchestra’s summer break. Musicians formed small groups to rehearse chamber music and prepare two fall concerts.
